How is the Alpha ™ charger characterized?
The Alpha™ Charger conveniently charges your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, plus other Qi-certified devices.
The Alpha ™ charger is designed to charge the iPhone 12, 13 and 14 Series and Apple Watch at the same time quickly and safely, without the need for cables. The system intelligently adapts to conditions to optimize charging for the iPhone 12, 13 and 14 Series with up to 14W of maximum power. Actual power supplied to iPhone will vary depending on power adapter wattage and system conditions. In the case of the iPhone 12 mini, 13 mini and 14 mini, the Alpha ™ charger supplies a maximum power of 12 W.
It is important that you connect the charger to a power source before placing the iPhone. This allows MagSafe to check if it is safe to deliver maximum power. If you place iPhone on the Alpha™ charger before connecting it to power, simply remove it from the charger, wait three seconds, and replace it to resume full power delivery.
You can charge Apple Watch on its side or horizontally with the band open by lifting the inductive charging connector. If you place it on its side, it will automatically go into Nightstand Mode so you can also use it as an alarm clock.
